The next 2 Saturdays, those being April 11 and 18, from 1 - 3 pm, you can help support Prairie Fest 2009 by taking the regular Tour & Tasting at Rahr Brewery. For every pre-owned Rahr beer glass filled with beer, Rahr & Sons Brewery will contribute $2.50 to the Friends of Tandy Hills to benefit Prairie Fest 2009.You can buy a Rahr Beer Glass for $5.00.
I am not quite clear on how this works. You buy the glass for $5.00 and then Rahr fills it for free? And then you have the option of putting some money in the donation jar that will be there? I don't know. The details are a bit sketchy.
Sounds like potential fun though.

The Rahr Brewery Saturday beer-tasting is a "not-so-mini" festival in and of itself! Lots of diverse, happy, noisy people, with all kinds of fun things going on. Food can either be brought in or bought there.
About how the fund-raising works: Many people have already purchased glasses which they bring to the event, in which case 50% of their entry fee is donated to the "cause of the week." Otherwise, you will want to purchase a glass and be prepared to donate free-will whatever additional amount you wish (if you choose to).
