Sikes Sunset With Good Shepherds Joining Three Wise Men
Yesterday, that would be Sunday, for some reason that day's morning multi-mile walking at Lucy Park did not fill my aerobically induced endorphin needs.
So, about an hour before the sun was scheduled to set I took off on a bike ride, heading north on the Circle Trail to Hamilton Park, then through the festively decorated Beverly Hills of Wichita Falls to the equally festively decorated campus of MSU, and then on to Sikes Lake where I saw that which you see above.
A few days ago I mentioned discovering what appeared to be an abstract hoohoo rock sculpture installation which appeared to possibly be an homage to the Three Wise Men awaiting the arrival of Baby Jesus.
Last night, as you can clearly see, it appears some Good Shepherds have arrived to join the Three Wise Men to await the arrival of Baby Jesus later this month.
A short distance from the abstract hoohoo rock sculpture installation I stopped my bike again to take another photo when I realized the sun was quickly leaving for the day. The sun sets fast at this location of the world.
I took the photo and then skedaddled at high speed the approximate mile back to my home base. There was still some ambient light when I arrived at that home base. But not much...

Hiking In The Tandy Hills Sunset Twilight
Late this afternoon I decided I really do not get enough exercise, so I drove to the summit of Mount Tandy and had myself a real fine time doing some twilight hill hiking.
As you can see in the picture, looking west across the wagon train trail that heads from Mount Tandy towards the stunning skyline of beautiful downtown Fort Worth, the sun is setting to the south of downtown.
Hiking the Tandy Hills while the sun goes down has the hills looking totally different than they do under the bright glare of a noonday sun.
I rather like it.
I may have to see what a sunrise looks like on the Tandy Hills.

The Extra Long Shadow Of The Tandy Hills Thin Man
The sun lights up the Tandy Hills in a much more attractive manner in the hour or two before it turns off for the night, than it does in the middle of the day, sun overhead, noon time frame.
As you can see, the Shadow of the Thin Man is way thinner than previous shadows. The the grass moves like waves of golden grain.
I was really feeling the effects, by mid-afternoon, of extreme endorphin withdrawal. It had me feeling like I was bloating up. Because, I think I was bloating up.
The pool caulkers showed up and started to work on the pool fix. I don't know what the re-fill time frame is. But I do know that the temperature has been sufficiently temperate the past couple days that swimming would have been pleasantly doable.
Right now, as I sit here typing as the sun slowly makes its final exit for the day, I am drinking Kava Tea, combined with some Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time Tea. The medicinal teas are having their desired relaxation effect.
And thanks to the vigorous late afternoon salubrious Tandy Hills hiking I no longer feel like a bloated bi-pedal whale. I really do not understand how sedentary people manage it.
The late in the afternoon, early in the evening, sunset view from near the top of Mount Tandy, looking west at the stunning skyline of beautiful downtown Fort Worth.
Tomorrow is going to be interesting. How do I know that? Because every day is, if you look hard enough.
