Tomorrow We Begin Being Heated Above 100 Degrees Day After Day After Day
Starting tomorrow, the day known as Sunday, the temperature is scheduled to hit the century mark at my location, and then continue getting HOTTER day after day after day, til reaching 106 on the first Friday of July.
I was only able to screen cap four day's worth of 100 degree plus temperature predictions, given you a good sampling of our HOT forecast.
In addition to the temperature the forecast also warns of the danger of dehydration and heatstroke.
I was in no danger of either of those particular calamities due to being out in the HEAT today.
My exposure was limited to the distance between my front door and my vehicle's entry door, and then exiting that door to quickly walk into the air-conditioned comfort of Walmart, where I walked my 32 Google Fit minutes.
I am hoping the high heat kills off the population of biting bugs. I am ready for the bug bite nightmare to come to an end...

Hotter Than Hell 100s This Week In Wichita Falls
I do not recollect a time previous during my exile in Texas when the seven day forecast had the temperature over the century mark day after day after day.
Last month when I spent a couple weeks in the Arizona desert I don't think we had a week solidly over the 100 degree mark day after day after day.
The SEVEN DAY FORECAST you see above was screen capped from this morning's Wichita Falls Times News Record.
In a couple weeks bike riders from all over the world will be arriving in Wichita Falls to join thousands of other wheel rollers in the Hotter 'N Hell 100 event.
If I remember right, last year, during the Hotter 'N Hell weekend, the temperature did not get hotter than hell, staying under the 100 degree mark, with clouds and maybe some rain, again if I am remembering right.
I have never felt even a slight desire to ride in the Hotter 'N Hell event. I have enjoyed visiting the end of the race event site at the downtown Wichita Falls MPEC zone.
If the temperature is not way over 100 I may join the throngs at the MPEC again this year. Maybe...

The Day Before The Start Of Summer Will Be The 8th Day In A Row Over 100 In North Texas
I went to bed early Sunday, which has me up early the day before the start of summer.
Looking through the bars of my patio prison cell at my destination in a few minutes hence, you can see Monday has dawned with yet one more blue sky morning in Texas.
Today is scheduled to be the 8th in a row where the temperature at the official measuring station at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport will go over 100 degrees.
Yesterday got to 102. Today is supposed to get to 103. Tomorrow the Heat Index will likely get in the 108 to 109 range.
Thousands in Fort Worth had their power knocked out yesterday. High winds knocked out some power lines.
I do not remember losing power during the air conditioning time of the year. That would be quite miserable. I need to knock on some wood.
And then go swimming.

A Woozy Friday Morning With 100 Degrees On Saturday Thinking About Voting For Jim Lane
The sun got up before me on this 27th morning of May.
When my camera looked out my viewing portal on the world, this morning, it was set in aquarium mode, which caused it to take a picture that matched my currently woozy view of the world.
At this point in time the outdoors is chilled to a very pleasant 67 degrees. Thus my windows are open.
The outdoors is currently scheduled to be heating today, eventually, to a relatively warm 93 degrees.
Tomorrow the current forecast is that we will be experiencing the first 100 degree day of 2011 in this particular zone of North Texas.
At 100 degrees all windows are closed. Fans are spinning, A/C is running.
Now, on non-weather related news. Former Fort Worth mayoral candidate, Cathy Hirt, has endorsed Jim Lane for mayor.
Many former Cathy Hirt supporters are now voting for Jim Lane.
I voted for Cathy Hirt. No one I vote for ever wins. This has me thinking I should vote for Betsy Price, even though I prefer Jim Lane.
It's a perplexing conundrum.

Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex Hits 101 Level Red Polluton Watch

As you can also see via the wind gauge, it is not being very breezy.
I went swimming early this morning. I felt no strong desire to go out walking at noon. I had to go to the Post Office and grocery store. That was enough hot walking.
A little after half past one this afternoon the National Weather Service lifted the Air Pollution Watch to Level Red. I don't remember it being Level Red before. In the warning below the NWS warns that those with breathing problems, asthma, children and the elderly, should stay indoors where there is air-conditioning.
Since I hit bingo on at least 2 of the vulnerable categories, I guess it was a good thing I didn't risk going hiking in this.
Air Quality Alert Message National Weather Service Fort Worth TX 137 PM CDT Tue Jun 23 2009

100 Degrees In Fort Worth

Yesterday my only aerobic activity was swimming. No hiking, biking or blading. This had me running a bit of an endorphin deficit that had me cranky by late afternoon. I won't let that happen today. I am still in endorphin bliss mode from this morning's alligator-free swim.
I'm heading to the Tandy Hills, today, before an endorphin deficit kicks in again. Before that I'm visiting Fredericksburg, Texas, virtually. I like that town.
