It has been so long since I was sick, I'm not sure this is a cold.
What I do know is I woke up yesterday with a sore throat, which worsened as the hours of the day passed by.
By the time the sun was setting, yesterday, I was coughing, sneezing, congested and just overall feeling miserable.
Then time to go to bed came around. I was unable to sleep. I tossed and turned and coughed the entire night.
About 3 in the morning, it crossed my mind that I might have a cold medication in my bathroom's medicine cabinet. It had been so long since I had need of such, it had not come to the forefront of my memory earlier.

Swallowing a capful of this vile liquid did help some. The sore throat and coughing impulse largely abated, for awhile. And then I would get up and take another dose. That happened three or four times.
By dawn's later light I made my way to Walmart to get a fresh supply of various cold remedies, including medicated cough drops, which are seeming quite salubrious.
I think I should be feeling tired and in dire need of a nap, but so far there has been no napping impulse directing me to get horizontal on my bed.
I do not tolerate being sick well. It totally annoys me...
