Listening To Fosdic Falls Roar While Learning That Nephew David Wants A Robot & The Identity Of Curious Anonymous

Water Roaring Over Fosdic Falls
Due to the absence of rainfall in this formerly parched part of the planet, it has been awhile since I've felt the ground tremble from water falling over Fosdic Falls.

Today I put on several layers of winter worthy outerwear and subjected myself to a 26 degree, wind chill factor-wise, walk around Fosdic Lake in Oakland Lake Park.

It was pleasant to hear the roar of Fosdic Falls above the roar of the cold wind.

A few days ago I blogged about my nephew David and his visit to Santa Claus. Today I heard from David's mom that when David saw Santa he climbed up on Santa's lap and earnestly told Santa all he wanted for Christmas was a robot and that "I have been a very good boy."

The last time I walked around Fosdic Lake I blogged about a strange series of comments from someone Anonymously Curious who is now no longer Anonymously Curious.

Last night I got email from someone calling him or herself "Fort Worth Observer." FWO asked if I knew who Curious Anonymous was and told me that s/he thought s/he knew. FWO asked me to make a guess. I really did not much care who Curious Anonymous was, or is. but I made a guess anyway.

Though I was pretty much 100% certain I was wrong, I, due to the mention being made by Curious Anonymous of the Tandy Hills, guessed that Don Young was Curious Anonymous. FWO replied back that I was very close and asked me to try again. This is growing tiresome I thought to myself, but then replied with Don Young's wife, Debra, as my next guess.

Wrong again. I then said I'm giving up on this quest.

Then this morning FWO sent me a picture and said Curious Anonymous was in the photo. And that Curious Anonymous is an ordained minister. And that he did something weekly. I assumed this meant Curious Anonymous preached weekly. Or weakly. It may have been a typo.

I could insert the photo into this blogging, but that somehow does not seem kosher. If the photo is of Curious Anonymous, someone could then identify him or her. (The picture has two males and one female in it, at what looks like a wedding)

If Curious Anonymous wants to be curiously anonymous, I think I should let him or her keep his or her curious anonymity.

Watching Litter Get Sent Over Fort Worth's Fosdic Falls On Its Way To The Trinity River

As soon as I stepped from my motorized transport upon arrival at Oakland Lake Park, today around noon, I could hear the roar of Fosdic Falls falling out of Fosdic Lake.

That would be the shadow of the Fosdic Falls thin man in the lower left of the picture, taking a picture of Fosdic Falls from the Fosdic Bridge connection to Fosdic Lake Dam.

There is a metal net-like device spanning Fosdic Creek at the point where Fosdic Lake spills over the dam, creating Fosdic Falls.

An amazing amount of litter backs up behind the metal net-like device, impeding the flow of water, sort of like a litter dam.

Today a man was risking being swept over Fosdic Falls in order to use a stick to try and remove some of the litter that was impeding the water flow.

I did not really approve of this man's litter removal method. When his stick snagged a piece of litter he tossed it on the other side of the metal net-like device, sending the litter over Fosdic Falls, sending it on its way to the preferred litter removal agent in these parts. The Trinity River.

The Trinity River is about a mile north of Fosdic Lake.

Above you see some of the Fosdic Lake Litter,  slowly bobbing its way to Fosdic Falls. This particular floating litter was floating at the west side of the lake, at the base of a cement stairway to nowhere that I run up and down when I am at Oakland Lake Park.

Fort Worth's Fosdic Falls Is No Longer Neon Green

After I checked out the flooded Trinity Falls and Gateway Park I decided to see if Fosdic Falls, falling from Fosdic Lake in Oakland Lake Park was still falling green, but with a lot more volume.

Yesterday I mentioned that Fosdic Falls was being a very unnatural neon green anti-freeze color.

As soon as I parked I could see Fosdic Lake had added a lot more water since yesterday. And was back looking a more natural color.

Fosdic Falls was falling way more water than yesterday. Enough water to make a roaring falls noise, but not enough to tremble the earth like a falls like Snoqualmie Falls in Washington does.

Fosdic Creek was roaring with whitewater rapids. I'd not seen that on Fosdic Creek before.

A white bird was standing on a rock in the Fosdic Creek whitewater rapids. Is the bird an egret? I don't know.

It has now been several hours since rain has fallen. Blue sky has returned. Has the BIG DRY UP began? I hope so.
