Queen Of Wink Finds Whisky Missing

I just heard from the Queen of Wink that when she returned to her kingdom, from her recent journey east, she found that the court cat caretakers had allowed the escape of the kitty Whisky.

Learning of the missing Whisky reminded me I am supposed to check in on Miss Puerto Rico's cat, Tasha, every day. I forgot til late yesterday and was on course to forget totally today until learning of the missing Whisky reminded me there is a cat who's welfare is dependent on me.

So, after I finished lamenting about the missing Whisky I headed over to Miss Puerto Rico's. That is the 4 in the afternoon balcony view in the continuing "View from Miss Puerto Rico's" series.

Note the color of our afternoon Texas blue sky. It looks tropical. Sometime tomorrow it will start looking like a winter northwest sky again, with incoming warm clouds from the south likely bringing us a lot of rain. The National Weather Service already, this morning, issued a Flash Flood Warning through Thursday night. So, this could be a real wet one. With us only barely dried out from the last real wet one.

The Queen of Wink told me that the New York ZipLiners told her that several people have told them they came to New York to ZipLine after reading about it on my blog. Miss Connie also told the Q of W that there are still 2 tickets waiting for me. The Q of W had so much fun ZipLining she'd love to do it again, though it was a bit expensive.

The Queen Of Wink Flies Through The Trees With Ease

That is the Queen of Wink zipping along on a zipline, up high in the trees of New York, in East Texas, at New York Zip Line Adventures. A satellite powered tracking device guided the Queen and her entourage on their journey from Wink to the Piney Woods Region of Texas.

The Queen of Wink is a blonde and is true to her species in that she is a bit directionally challenged, hence the use of a GPS to guide the way.

The GPS worked perfectly to direct the Queen and Princess Annie to the Tandy Hills Natural Area where they hiked on the prairie for 3 hours.

Princess Annie used her Royal Prerogative and chose to ignore the "Do Not Pick The Flowers" warning signs, picking a bouquet, using a bottle that was conveniently floating near Tandy Falls for a vase. Princess Annie then put the vase of flowers in what she thought was a hobo's camp, that being the location where for a couple months a tent served as someone's home. The tent is now gone, but a chair and a tarp remain.

The Queen and Princess Annie liked what they saw of the Tandy Hills and want to come back when the trails are less muddy. I think I'll go there today and see if the trails are less muddy.

A Texas Halloween At Thrillvania Thrill Park

In a couple weeks the holiday season gets started with Halloween. From then on we're on a fast track to Christmas and a Hopefully Happy New Year.

Over the long Columbus Day weekend the Queen of Wink and her entourage, including Princess Annie, is riding the Royal Wink Carriage from West Texas to New York, Terrell and Fort Worth.

The Royal Winkers are picking me up as they pass through Fort Worth, on the way to New York, to go ziplining through some East Texas trees. Then it's on to Terrell where we are going to have some thrills and chills delivered by the Thrillvania Thrill Park.

After getting scared really bad, it's on to Fort Worth to stand on the best place to stand in Fort Worth, that being the Tandy Hills.

The thrills of ziplining don't much concern me, but the thrills at Trillvania, that sounds a bit scarier.

Thrillvania is one of the top-rated Halloween Haunts in America. There are several Haunted Options in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex zone. Thrillvania is considered to be the most fright filled.

There are 8 attractions at Thrillvania.

One being Verdun Manor, it being a mansion haunted by a psychotic werewolf.

Surrounding Verdun Manor is Voodoo Bayou. A thick fog makes it hard to see the dangerous creatures that lurk in the fog.

Cassandra's Labyrinth of Terror is haunted by the ghost of Lady Cassandra D'Arque, who lost her head 100 years ago and is real mad about it.

Dr. Lycan's Trail of Torment is haunted by creepy Dr. Lycan who helped Baron Verdun perform horrible experiments on travelers passing by Verdun Manor. All those tortured spirits are loose on the Trail of Torment.

At Granny Lupus' Seance Theatre you will bear live witness to the spirits haunting the Verdun estate.

In the Maze of Chaos you will have to find your way through a maze of scary twists and turns filled with surprises that are not for those who faint easy.

Thorn Hall is new this year. When you are in Thorn Hall you are in total darkness where Mortimer Thorn has something real unsettling for you.

Six Feet Blunder will put you in a funeral home gone bad where a maniacal mortuary puts you through a 4-D torment that has never been seen in Texas before.

You can go to the Thrillvania website for directions to Terrell and admission ticket prices, dates and hours information.

Ziplining In New York Texas

That is a zipliner at NY TX Zipline Adventures. That is not me on the zipline. The zipline is located in New York. New York is by Athens in the part of Texas called the Piney Woods.

When I first learned of NY TX Zipline Adventures Eco-Friendly Zipline and Canopy Tours I blogged about it, because it sounded like a fun thing to do.

I then heard from Connie at NY TX Zipline telling me if I came to New York they'd give me a zipline tour.

Then when I was up in Washington last summer I heard from Connie again. And now another year has gone by, I've still not made it to New York. And I've heard from Connie again.

Once more telling me, "I have not read you blog in some time. If you are still coming my way, call me for your zipline tour. It is a blast! Your two free tickets are waiting on you."

The last time I heard from Connie I asked if anyone wanted to volunteer to go ziplining with me. If I remember right Gar the Texan volunteered. But, when I got back from Washington, last summer, I had so much stuff going on I totally forgot about New York.

Volunteers?

Going To New York, Texas For Some ZipLine Adventures

Last summer I blogged about a fun sounding new adventure out in the East Texas zone called NY TX ZipLine Adventures.

Sky-High Thrills-Texas Style!

Well, when I was up in Tacoma last summer. (I think I've previously mentioned being up there) It was really really cold for an entire month. I was quite miserable.

Anyway, while I was in Tacoma I heard from Connie of ZipLine, thanking me for mentioning them in my blog, telling me that they'd had several visitors come their way, from my blog, after being directed to their website.

Well, I got back to Texas on August 20. I remember that date clearly due to feeling so relieved. But, due to so many things going on all around me, I forgot about ZipLining.

Until today. I once more heard from Connie of ZipLine, reminding me that there are Two Free Zip Tours waiting for me and that I would be glad I came and zipped with them in New York.

So. Who wants to go ZipLining with me? Any volunteers?
