Remember Three Siblings On A Mount Vernon Couch
That which you see here showed up today in my email via Microsoft's OneDrive Memories of this Day.
I know who is in the photo. And where the photo was taken. But I have no memory of the photo being taken, or when it was taken.
Sitting happily on the couch, in the middle, between me on the right, and my little brother, Jake, on the left, is our eldest sister, Nancy, back when she was a cute little thing.
I think I am 4 or 5 in the photo, which would make my little brother, 3 or 4 and our sister in the 1 and 2 range.
This photo was likely taken in Mount Vernon, in a house on the south side of what is now College Way, with Skagit Valley College to be built on the north side of the street. If I remember right, college construction began whilst we still lived at that location.
Nancy was born in Mount Vernon. Brother Jake and I were born in Oregon, in a town called Eugene.
And that concludes today's trip down faulty memory lane...

Happy Belated Birthday Grandpa Jake & Hank Frank
I was distracted yesterday, I guess, and forgot to text Happy Birthday to my little brother and his littlest grandson, Hank Frank.
Hank Frank was brother Jake's birthday present three years ago yesterday. And Jake got to be up in Washington when his birthday present was opened, I mean, born.
I thought I was going to get to meet Hank Frank, and his mother, for the first time two summer's ago, but COVID intervened. I thought for sure I would get to meet Hank Frank, and his mother, the summer which just had its closing, but COVID was still intervening.
I was in the parking lot of the Beach Street Walmart in Fort Worth when I got a call telling me about the arrival of Hank Frank. I do not remember who called me.
I think I am likely the only one of Hank Frank's Great Uncles and Aunts who have not yet met him. Though I do not recollect sister Michele mentioning seeing Hank Frank. Sister Jackie had a great time meeting Hank Frank and his mom, Monique.
Anyway, I hope brother Jake and Hank Frank had themselves a mighty fine time on their Happy Birthdays!
UPDATE: Hank Frank's dad, Joey, sent my phone a picture of Hank Frank's birthday party. A party Hank Frank's grandma, my Favorite Ex-Sister-In-Law, Cindy, flew home from Italy, just to be there. I was not invited. I was always invited to all Hank Frank's dad's birthday parties...

Phone Call From Theo With David & Ruby Along With Hank Frank & Grandpa Jake
Yesterday, in the early evening, my phone lit up with what you see here.
Incoming call from my Favorite Nephew Theo.
I soon found myself on speaker phone talking to Theo and my Favorite Nephew David and Favorite, One and Only Niece, Ruby.
The Tacoma Trio was calling on Theo's phone to sing Happy Birthday to me.
It had been some time since I had talked to Theo, David and Ruby.
They all sounded so much older.
Particularly David.
When I was asked what I was doing for my birthday I said I was having Canadian Bacon/Pineapple pizza, and I asked if they wanted to come have a slice or two.
To which David replied, "To do such would require some sort of time traveling machine which I do not believe has been invented as yet".
David becomes a teenager next month, on 9/11.
Several hours later I was horizontal. After about an hour of being in that condition my phone made its incoming text message noise. I decided to get back vertical and check the message and found that which you see below, sent by my Favorite Nephew Joey's phone...
The text with the photo said "Papa Jake and Henry wishing you a Happy Birthday".
Papa Jake is what Hank Frank calls his Grandpa, who is also my little brother, Jake.
Looking at this photo it looks like Hank Frank is taking Papa Jake on a hike through Henry's Apple Orchard.
And are posing in front of a sign using the Dutch spelling of Jones...
