My handlebars were back in Gateway Park on the FWMBA (Fort Worth Mountain Bike Association) mountain bike trail this first Sunday of the next to last month of 2012.
The location of my handlebars, this time, is different than the last time I took a picture of my bike about to go over a cliff into the Trinity River.
The Trinity River is that real slow moving slimy green water-like entity you see below the handlebars.
This morning it was a real nice thing to be rid of that annoying Daylight Savings Time aberration that has the sun arriving later in the morning than I prefer.
This morning I went swimming before 7. Yesterday if I had gone swimming before 7 it would have been in the dark.
There was a lot of soccer game action today in Gateway Park. The appeal of that sport has always alluded me.
There were also a lot of disc golfers today in Gateway Park. The appeal of that sport has also always alluded me.
There were not a lot of mountain bikers today in Gateway Park. The appeal of that sport has never alluded me.
I'm am sitting here waiting for the lunch buzzer. When the buzzer buzzes this will indicate that the oven fries I'm frying in the oven are ready for consumption. This morning I BBQed some pork product.
When the buzzer buzzes, lunch today will consist of the aforementioned oven fries and BBQ pork product, plus salad made from Romaine, with yellow peppers, cauliflower, tomatoes and olives. Today's lunch drink is grapefruit juice lemonade. This tastes better than it sounds.
The buzzer will be buzzing in about 10 minutes. If you want to come for lunch you'd best hurry up and get here.
The buzzer is buzzing. I was off with my time estimate.

Sally Selling Seashells On The Fort Worth Tandy Hills Seashore While Daylight Savings Comes To An End
Years ago, when I was in speech therapy, in an attempt to cure my speech impediment, one thing sticks in my memory, that being having to learn to say "Sally sells seashells by the seashore" quickly, over and over again.
Sally selling seashells by the seashore came back to the forefront of my consciousness today while I was doing my regularly scheduled Saturday Tandy Hills hiking when I came upon an area of the hills upon which lay dozens upon dozens of what looked like seashells.
The nearest sea to the Tandy Hills is hundreds of miles away. All these shells laying about the Tandy Hills is yet one more perplexing mystery to add to the ever growing number of Tandy Hills perplexing mysteries.
I managed to go swimming this morning. I did not have a case of the shivers afterwards. This has me trying to remember at which temperature does getting in the pool cause me a cause of the shivers. It is currently 68 degrees at half past 3 in the afternoon. The low tonight is supposed to get in the 57 degree zone. Which means I will likely be pooling in the morning.
Tonight is the night we lose Daylight Savings Time, which means I will have more sun available in the morning to light my way to the cold water.

Daylight Savings Time Has Arrived In North Texas Making Me An Hour Late
Due to the government mandating that time be shifted an hour, I am up later than I would have preferred.
It is past 8, well after the arrival of the sun, this second Sunday of March.
As you can see, looking through the bars of my patio prison cell, it is a sunny Sunday in North Texas.
Sunny and 60 degrees.
Which means, even though I am running late, I'll be going swimming this morning.
I think around noon I will be heading to Veterans Park in Arlington and then on to the ALDI in Pantego. That is what I did last Sunday, and creature of habit that I be, I tend to repeat myself.

Up Early The Second Friday Of March With No Tsunami From Japan Expected To Hit Fort Worth
It is the second Friday of the third month of 2011. In two days Daylight Savings Time starts up. Which means I may be doing my morning swimming in the dark for awhile.
This morning it is 44 degrees out there. I believe the 24 hour average has been over 50 degrees. So, I am going swimming this morning in that blue oasis you see in the picture.
I have myself a big backlog of blogging fodder this morning. Subjects ranging from gators to tsunamis.
Speaking of tsunamis.
I suspect the Galtex's, this morning, up in Seattle, are experiencing their first tsunami watch, as waves generated by Japan's worst earthquake ever, an 8.9 shaker, are expected to hit the west coast. To get to Seattle a tsunami has to makes its way in from the Pacific Ocean through the Straits of Juan de Fuca and then on to Puget Sound.
I remember one time heading out to Deception Pass on Whidbey Island to watch a possible incoming tsunami. No detectable wave was seen.
In my current location, hundreds of miles from saltwater, north of being deep in the heart of Texas, there will be no incoming tsunami today.
Just sunshine and semi-warm temperatures.
I think I'll go outside and work on my suntan right now. Talk to you later.

Today's Shadow Of The Tandy Thin Man Thinking About Good News For Fort Worth's Paradise Center
The sun was in full exposure mode at noon today, which brought the Shadow of the Tandy Thin Man into view. Because it was noon it made for a very short Shadow of the Tandy Thin Man.
Sources close to the situation tell me that there may be good news soon about the Paradise Center. It seems there are some good people in Fort Worth who when they learn someone has done a bad deed, come forward and try to help right the wrong.
I also heard from Wandalyn again. Wandalyn is going to look into the idea of starting a blog as a memorial to her murdered daughter.
And, as if Wandalyn does not have enough grief, she was coming home to the apartment she lives in with another daughter, to find the body of a young black man. Shot in the head. Wandalyn called 911 and then waited by the bod until police arrived.
I saw my first Tandy Hills wildflowers of the year today.
68 degrees out there coming up on 4 in the afternoon. My windows are open. Daylight Savings Time starts up March 13. I would prefer it not to start up.

Happy That Daylight Savings Time Ended At 2AM This Morning
I am up a bit late this Sunday morning of November 7. As you can see, the sun has already arrived.
The sun arrived an hour earlier than yesterday, thanks to the Daylight Savings Time nonsense coming to an end at 2am this morning.
It is 42 degrees out there right now. I think that is 2 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. Maybe that extra 2 degrees will have the pool warmed up enough to be tolerable. I'll soon find out. Minimally I'll get a good bracing bit of shock therapy.
I believe yesterday, for the first time ever, I blogged something on all my blogs.
On the Durango TV blog I blogged about the aftermath of the ending of the most recent iteration of Project Runway, with a bizarre video of winner Gretchen Jones.
On the DurangObese blog I blogged about the 10 Fattest and 10 Fittest Cities in America. Texas leads the nation with 3 cities listed among the Top 10 Fattest, those being San Antonio, Houston and El Paso. Dallas/Fort Worth did not crack the Top Ten Fattest, only managing a relatively lean 14th place. No Texas city managed to be in the Top 10 Fittest Cities. But Austin did manage to be the 17th Fittest City.
On the Durango Washington blog I blogged about lamenting not being able to fly like a bat with a wingsuit here in Texas, with a very cool video of 4 guys wingsuiting over Seattle with a fly by of the Space Needle. If you've never had a good look at downtown Seattle and all the water that surrounds Seattle, this video will show it to you. For those looking at this from Fort Worth, all that water is courtesy of Mother Nature, no public works projects making fake town lakes.
On the Durango Roadtripping blog I blogged about my favorite Roadtrip movie, National Lampoon's Vacation. I've sort of run out of material for the Roadtripping blog.
I doubt I will be blogging something on all my blogs today. But I never know where the day will take me. Right now it is taking me outside.
