Walking With My Mom & The Village Creek Indian Ghosts Talking About Adopting Eddie & Avoiding BS

Looking at the picture my one longtime reader might guess that it is a scene in Arlington's Village Creek Natural Historical Area that you are looking at.

That one longtime reader would be guessing correctly.

As you can see, blue has returned, somewhat, to the Village Creek Blue Bayou.

My mom went walking with me and the Indian ghosts today.

Mom was sounding very chipper. It has been over a month now since my mom had knee surgery. The recovery continues, helped by pain meds, which may account for some of that chipperiness.

My mom wants me to fly to Arizona in December. And to get Spencer Jack's uncle Joey to come there too.

I know why my mom wants me and Joey to fly to Arizona in December. But, what my mom does not know is I have an issue which I refer to as the "BS" problem, which I have vowed to avoid, as best I can, which is fairly reliably. If I fly to Arizona in December I would likely find myself having to deal with the "BS" problem for the first time since I promised myself that I would no longer tolerate the bad "BS" behavior, like I have always done in the past.

And in other relative news, talking to my mom today I learned that mom learned yesterday, what I also learned yesterday, that being that my sister who lives in Tacoma is adopting yet one more adoptee into her brood. This adoptee is coming from a shelter in Los Angeles.

My sister has a fairly large house, with three levels, but, with Blue, Max, David, Theo, Ruby, and now,  Eddie, I'm thinking it might be time to start hunting for a bigger house.

Zipper Malfunction Cuts Short Bike Ride With The Village Creek Indian Ghosts

The No Longer Blue Bayou of Village Creek
I went walking with the Indian Ghosts, and my sister, at the Village Creek Natural Historical Area on Sunday.

On Sunday I did not walk to the overlook that looks over the Village Creek Blue Bayou.

Today I went biking with the Indian Ghosts who haunt Village Creek, without my sister, and I did bike to the overlook that looks over the Village Creek Blue Bayou to find  that the Blue Bayou is no longer blue.

All the water that made the Blue Bayou blue has evaporated.

We are in dire need of some incoming water on this parched part of the planet. A chance of storms is predicted for today and tomorrow. Maybe there will be some precipitation precipitating if the predicted storms precipitate.

I had a bike-related mishap today. Not a wreck. Nothing that dire.

Over my handlebars I have a zippered bag that holds my keys, phone, wallet and camera.

When I reached the part of the Village Creek Natural Historical Area's paved trail that has a big round mirror on a post, I stopped to take a picture of myself looking at the big mirror on the post.

I assume that big mirror on a post has been placed in this location to help facilitate one taking a photo of oneself, documenting that one has been one with the Indian Ghosts of Village Creek.

I pulled the zipper on the zippered bag to find the zipper pop totally open, as in totally de-zippered. I could not figure out how to get the zipper back in zipper mode. Being un-zippered made the stuff in the bag vulnerable to falling out.

I was able to secure the camera to the handlebars and proceeded to slowly bike my way back to my vehicle.

Such an eventful day I have had so far.

Broken zippers, a long morning swim and reams of tortured purple prose with which to torment my youngest sister, she with a deep-seated aversion to purple prose, particularly seriously tortured purple prose of the badly bruised variety.

Walking With The Village Creek Indian Ghosts To The Blue Bayou Worrying About The Milky Way Andromeda Galaxy Crash

I am almost 100% certain my location on the planet was rain-free, last night, for the first in three nights.

I know with 100% certainty that this morning my swimming was totally free of a downpour, unlike the previous morning.

I am also almost 100% certain that my favorite hill hiking zone is likely still in dry out mode from our recent deluges.

So, today I got my mid-day salubrious endorphin inducing aerobic stimulation by chasing the Native American ghosts who haunt Arlington's Village Creek Natural Historical Area.

As you can see, via the above picture, the Village Creek Blue Bayou has been re-charged by the recent deluges and was glowing, today, with a very appealing shade of reflective blue.

Changing the subject from Village Creek and its ghosts to other celestial issues.

I was shocked, moments ago, to learn, via FOX NEWS online, that, due to data acquired over the past several years, from the Hubble Telescope, those whose job it is to figure out such things have determined that the Milky Way Galaxy, of which Earth is a part, and the Andromeda Galaxy, are on a collision course, speeding towards each other at something like 250,000 mph.

That's fast.

I was seriously concerned til I got to the part of the article that said the collision won't happen for about 4 billion more years, and will take several billion years to complete. And won't result in the destruction of our solar system. After the Galactic wreck our solar system will keep on spinning. But it will be moved to a new location in the Universe, with an entirely new night sky to look at.

So, I guess I don't need to be concerned about any of my great great great great grandkids til a few million more generations generate.

That's a relief.
